Christmas Eve Service
Join us to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 24 at 6:00pm. All are invited. There is no childcare for this service, so that our volunteers may be with their families.
Tree Donation
If you have a live, undecorated Christmas tree you may place it the designated area for SLAM to use for their Jan 9 event.
SLAM Bon Fire
SLAM is gathering to roast marshmallows, make s’more & have fun together!
Family Movie Night
We will be opening our doors to our church and MN School to have a Family Movie Night. We will have chairs set up, but feel free to bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. Guests will receive free popcorn, and a drink.
We need volunteers to help to set up, greeters, popcorn makers, snack servers, and clean-up crew! Friday, January 23, volunteers are need at 5:00pm. The movie will being at 6:00pm. Let's gather together as we invite our extended family to come enjoy a movie and some free snacks and drinks. See Amy King for volunteer information!

Chili Cookoff & Dessert Auction
Here’s your chance to pit your world-famous chili against other Metro North Chefs’. You could win bragging rights AND help support our missions trips!
As always, this event will also feature a Dessert Auction* and Cupcake Walk to balance all that spice with a little sweet. Hot dogs and nachos will also be available for purchase. Bring a blank check…’cause some of these desserts go for a high price!
There is a $10 registration fee for Chili Chefs payable that day.
*There is no fee for Dessert Bakers, but we do ask you to register!
Women's Galentine Dinner
Galentine Dinner will be hosted in the Cypress Preserve neighborhood. We'll have appetizers, dinner, and dessert at different homes! Plan to meet at the pool parking lot and park and we will carpool to each of the homes. RSVP by Feb 15.

Thanksgiving Feast - Sunday, Nov 23 at 5:30pm. Metro North will provide the meat (turkey & ham), eating utensils, paper ware, and drinks.
Families with names:
A-K bring 2 side dishes (potatoes, veggies, stuffing, salad, etc)
L-Z bring 1 side dish & 1 dessert. Remember to bring enough for your family plus extra to share.

Jr SLAM Fall Retreat
BELIEVE IT OR NOT —- Jr SLAM will be heading to Myrtle Beach for their Fall Retreat! They leave MNC November 7 and return November 9. The cost is $100 per person. Sign up by October 19 to reserve your spot! Contact Thom Watson for more information.

Trunk or Treat
Come Trunk or Treat with us! Trunks will be decorated for trick or treaters so join the fun from, 5:30-7:00pm.
We’d love to create a fun evening for local kids, but we need you… and your car or truck. We need at least 20 vehicles to be decorated. Arrive to decorate vehicles by 4:30pm. Email Amy King or note on your Connect Card to sign up for a spot!
SLAM Day Out
Meet us at West Farm Corn Maze! We plan to get lost in the corn maze, go on a hay ride, and pet animals in the farm zoo! Tickets are $15. Don’t forget to bring money for snacks!

The Women’s Fall Retreat for 2025 will be in North Myrtle Beach, September 12 - 14. We have reserved an AirB&B with a pool and next to the beach. Bring your swimsuit! Our guest speaker will be Carolyn Roman.

Join the Women of Metro for Dinner Out! We plan to meet the second weekend of each month for dinner together. This month we will meet at Yokoso in Summerville, Saturday, August 9 at 6:00pm. Please RSVP by Tuesday, August 5.
Officer Nomination
We invite MNC members to nominate a man to become an Elder or Deacon for the coming year. Nominations will end August 31.
Elders are responsible for shepherding, ruling, counseling, and teaching.
Deacons are responsible for finances, facilities, caring for the needy.
We have taken the qualities found in 1 Timothy & Titus 1 and formulated a questionnaire which we believe will accurately reveal how a man measures up to these standards. Please complete the reference form to the extent of your knowledge of the nominee.

TVR
Our Student Ministry is planning to attend TVR (Teen Valley Ranch) in NC July 21-26, 2025. Total cost per person is $525. A $50 deposit is due by April 6. There will be a Parent Meeting July 2 at 6:00pm. Please plan to attend with all your student’s paperwork.

Summer SLAM Ice Skating
Summer SLAM will cool off ice skating at Carolina Ice Palace. We will meet there and skate during “open skate” from 1:15-3:15pm. Bring money to skate ($14/person) and for snacks. Remember to wear long pants!
Boulder Bluff Elementary Supply Collection
We are collecting supplies though Aug 4 for teachers of BBE. These are items teachers buy with their own funds to support their classrooms. You may also order via our Amazon wish list.
